Needs analysis project: Journalists’ digital training needs

Posted:

The Information Experience Lab, a user-centered design lab in SISLT, is working with the 2017-18 Reynolds Journalism Institute Fellow, Linda Austin, to assess journalists’ training needs.  During the summer of 2017, the IE Lab conducted a survey with over 700 journalists, editors and media workers to understand such things as their most urgent training needs and their preferred mode of learning.  Following the survey, IE Lab hosted focus groups with journalists across the country to explore participants’ prior mobile and microlearning training experiences.  The work continues as the IE Lab investigates the academic literature and industry for successes and failures in mobile microlearning.

Details about the survey on journalists’ digital training needs are published on RJI website by Fellow, Linda Austin.
