IE Lab Planning at Thailand Cyber University September 20 – 23

SISLT’s Manager of R&D. Gary Westergren, worked in Bangkok, Thailand last month with officials and staff of the new Thailand Cyber University (TCU) to establish the second international IE Lab. TCU is a consortium of 27 universities in Thailand established under the auspices of the National Commission on Higher Education. Dr. Suppannee Sombuntham is Director of TCU and Dr. Anuchai Theeraroungchaisri serves Associate Director and developer of the new IE Lab TCU. Mr. Noppadol Choti will serve as coordinator of the IE Lab TCU On September 21, Gary presented to a group consisting of 35 TCU staff members and faculty and staff from member colleges and universities. Topics were “Why Usability?”, “Morae Usability Software”, and “Managing a Usability Laboratory”. A usability workshop was held on Saturday, September 22 with six TCU staff participants, including Anuchai. In addition, planning meetings with the TCU leadership set the schedule for developing the IE Lab TCU and planned next steps. A Memorandum of Understanding is in the approval process both at TCU and at MU.
